INGREDIENTS

Liquid:

20 g Cashew Butter  

20 g extra virgin olive oil 

60 g lemon juice 

300 ml water

Solid:

150 g Raw Cashews 

60 g corn flour 

20 g nutritional yeast 

8-12 g salt  (depending on your preferences)

1/3 tsp garlic powder 

For serving:

thyme – rosemary – oregano – paprika – sesame seed

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a sturdy blender and blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and heat over medium heat.
  3. Stir constantly until the mixture begins to thicken.
  4. After a few minutes, the mixture will change texture and become a thick paste.
  5. Transfer the paste to a well-oiled plate and press it firmly with a spatula to shape it evenly.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until completely chilled.
  7. Once chilled, unmold the mixture and sprinkle with herbs, spices, or toppings of your choice.
  8. Allow it to firm up and develop flavor in the refrigerator.
